One pastime that is gaining more and more popularity as time goes by is that of dancing salsa. There are many types and styles of salsa which is born out by the quantity of salsa competitions that take place month by month.
There is cuban salsa, mambo, la style salsa and new york style salsa to name but a few. As well as being a great way to get exercise dancing salsa is the perfect vehicle for getting out and meeting new people. You can learn basic salsa steps whilst in the classes and at the same time get acqianted with new people.
Cuban salsa steps is considered to be one of the most wonderful styles of salsa, also known as casino style salsa the woman generally dances around the man in a circle. There are many free resources available on the internet where you can learn basic salsa steps and improve your level of expertise.
